Terms
A short, plain-language usage agreement. There is not much to disagree with here, but the fine print exists so that everyone knows the rules of the road.
The writing
All notes are © Jules Ashton. Short quotations (up to about 200 words) with a link back to the original are welcome. For longer reprints — anthologies, books, coursework — please ask; permission is usually granted for non-commercial use.
Code snippets
Code fragments in the notes are provided under the MIT License unless otherwise specified. You are free to copy, adapt, and use them in your own projects, commercial or otherwise, without attribution. Attribution is nice, but not required.
No warranty
The technical opinions on this site are personal, informal and not professional advice. If you deploy a prompt pattern from this notebook into a production system that mints money or handles sensitive user data, do your own testing. The notebook is not liable for anyone's launch day.
External links
Occasional links to papers, blog posts and small tools appear in the notes. Those sites are outside my control. If one of them goes bad or begins to serve ads I find distasteful, I will edit the link but I cannot guarantee I catch every case.
Changes
These terms may change over time. The last update was 1 April 2026. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new version.
